Liang Xinde, a legendary runner from Zhejiang, recently claimed that he “completed the three sets of 100 km, 500 km, and 1000 km races in the shortest time and won first place.”

Liang, known as “Da Li”, is a prominent figure among long-distance runners. Last year, he made headlines by becoming the first Chinese runner to win the Tour de France Ultramarathon. Running nonstop for 63 days, covering an astounding distance of 3,636 kilometers, he became one of only 19 people in the world to have completed this remarkable feat.

Now Liang once again proved his incredible endurance. In the 5th Brazil 1000 km Ultramarathon, one of the world’s longest and toughest races with the highest elimination rate, he successfully completed the 100 km, 500 km, and 1000 km races. This event tests not only physical stamina but also sheer willpower—any runner who covers less than 100 kilometers in a day faces elimination.

This ten-day race attracted runners from all over the world. São Lourenço, a small town in southeastern Brazil known for its hot springs, witnessed his triumph.

Liang has previously won several ultramarathon titles. His ultimate goal is to claim 20 ultramarathon championships.
