In a groundbreaking development on Nov 29, a burgeoning startup, consisting of just four members, unveiled its revolutionary AI video generation tool "Pika”.

The release of Pika's latest innovation caused a widespread frenzy across social media platforms and the tech industry, both domestically and internationally.

Guo Wenjing, one of the founders of Pika, is an alumna of Hangzhou No. 2 High School. She was the first Zhejiang student to secure an early admission to Harvard University's undergraduate program. In a bold move this April, Guo chose to discontinue her studies at Stanford, aiming to create a more user-friendly AI video tool. Pika was then born and has become the world's most sought-after AI video generation company.

On Nov 29, Pika officially launched Pika 1.0, inviting users to apply for trial use. This cutting-edge AI video generation tool boasts the capability of producing and editing videos in various formats, including 3D animation, anime, cartoons, and movies. What sets Pika apart is its user-friendly interface that enables precise control and editing of video clips with a simple and descriptive sentence, such as adjusting aspect ratios or locally redrawing specific elements in the pre-recorded footage.

According to Pika, its 1.0 version exhibits remarkable smoothness in video generation, with conversions taking only a fraction of a second compared to similar products in the current market.

Pika also disclosed that it successfully completed its Series A financing round, amassing a total of $55 million in funding.

The AI-generated video field's next frontier, according to Guo, involves overcoming challenges related to video duration, clarity, and smoothness. Anticipating a breakthrough in the coming year, she envisions a future where individuals can effortlessly create their own short videos, ushering in a new era of personalized content creation.
