On May 6, a grand exhibition of Chinese arts themed “De Beijing à Paris: Le Parcours Olympique des Artistes Franco-Chinois” kicked off at Paris Invalides, featuring more than 200 masterpieces to celebrate the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic ties.

As the artistic director of the exhibition, Zhu Bingren, a bronze art master from Hangzhou’s Linping district, participated with two copper artworks, “Burning Sunflower” and “Love Connecting the East and West”. These pieces integrate western imagery and Chinese aesthetics, showcasing the vigorous spirit of Olympic sports, and have received accolades from the international community.

On May 16, the same series of copper sculptures were displayed at the Zhu Bingren Grand Canal Art Museum in Tangqi Ancient Town of Linping. At the event, Zhu shared his experiences and feelings during his art exchange tour in France and other European countries.

“I hope that through more artistic exchanges, more people can understand and appreciate the unique charm of Chinese intangible heritage copper art, so that this ‘flower’ can bloom in splendor all over the world,” he said.
