After a 12-year re-construction, the Chinese Courtyard–the Mengxi Garden was officially opened on Mar 22.

Located in Shiqiao village, Liangzhu subdistrict of Hangzhou's Yuhang district, this gorgeous garden is re-constructed from a former chemical factory, with the Dongming Mountain on the north and a Dream Lake in the center.

Surrounded by rice paddies, stone bridges, flowing water, and houses, it displays a courtyard layout with typical characteristics in the regions south of the Yangtze River.

In 2018, the Mengxi Garden was honored with the TIA Eco-design Award by the International Industrial Design Congress. This year, it was officially included in the third edition of the Chinese Encyclopedia under the section of human habitat environmental science as a modern garden example.

Designed and constructed by the Zhejiang Zhongya Landscape Group Co., Ltd., the garden was established in 2011 adjacent to the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City.

As its opening celebration discount, the current ticket prices are 80 yuan for adults, free for children under 1.2 meters, and 50% off for active-duty military persons. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 every day.
