Written by the Chinese writer Liu Cixin, the novel's title refers to a three-body problem in an orbital mechanics.
Two cool devices in the on-air Three-Body TV series are attracting much attention from audiences, which are both developed by the companies based in the Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City in Yuhang district.
The protagonist in the TV series, Wang Miao, wears a VR headset to watch the universe flicker. The cool headset is developed by Pimax Technology. The so-called Pimax 8K X headset has won the best VR product award at the CES exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA. It is currently the highest resolution headset on the market, which enhances the sense of immersion in VR within the limit of the human eye's field of view.
Established in 2015, Pimax Technology is a VR hardware manufacturer that integrates product R&D, production and sales. Currently, the company has launched Pimax 5K, 8K series, and Artisan products, occupying a high ecological position in the VR headset market with its core technologies of high-resolution refresh rate, high precision low latency, and dual display screens.
The other device that enables the protagonist to walk in The Three-Body Problem world is the KAT Walk mini, a VR omnidirectional action platform (VR treadmills) developed by the Hangzhou-based technology company KATVR, or Hangzhou X-Reality Technology. Established in 2015, the company focuses on the immersive walking technology of the virtual reality interaction sector.
It is a universal VR standard input device with many game adaptations, and it is lightweighted, allowing for unlimited walking in a limited space and intelligent protection judgment. It automatically adapts without distinction of height and body type with a low latency and brings a more efficient and convenient immersive experience without wearing.
