Invited by the ACA project for Asian Contemporary Art and Culture in France, the Hangzhou (France) Cultural and Creative Industries Exchange Center was unveiled at Galerie Vazieux in Paris on July 3.
In 2017, 2020 and 2022, Hangzhou established cultural and creative industry exchange centers in the United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland respectively. These three centers have become important platforms for promoting Hangzhou’s cultural and creative industry overseas.
As the opening event of the center, the exhibition “Enchanté, Loong”centered around Hangzhou’s innovation of traditional arts. The exhibition showcases the charm of innovative designs in more than 10 traditional Chinese handicrafts, such as Wanfeng Mortise & Tenon, Fang Hui Chun Tang and Zhu Bingren Copper, and the style of Hangzhou’s cultural and creative brands for local visitors, deepening and promoting cross-regional and cross-brand cultural exchanges and cooperation.
In recent years, Hangzhou has continuously carried out cultural exchange activities with many French cities such as Paris and Lyon. For six consecutive years, France has organized delegations to participate in the Hangzhou Cultural& Creative Industry Expo and Hangzhou International Craft Week. In 2023, Hangzhou organized a number of local enterprises to participate in the Maison & Objet Paris, which received unanimous praise from the local industry, media and citizens.
