The Chinese delegation, “CHINA WAVE” CHIC, made its debut at the 106th Pitti Uomo, the world’s premier menswear exhibition, in Florence from June 6 to 14.
As the exclusive official partner of this year’s Pitti Uomo, China International Fashion Fair (CHIC) led eight clothing brands and designer labels representing China and held the exclusive seat SUPERSTYLING, highly favored by professional buyers worldwide. The delegation included the brand TYPETAIL from E-fashion Town in Hangzhou’s Linping district.
The street trend and social commuting brand TYPETAIL was founded by designer Iris Chen, who launched UNROW, the first unisex fashion label, in France in 2016 and established an in-house overseas development team. In 2018, TYPETAIL was unveiled as a brand that combines fashion resources from Paris, China, and Italy.
TYPETAIL specifically launched limited editions for the European market, where the brand’s simple, casual commuting style is in demand. Italian buyers have a special preference for gauze, silk, acetic acid, linen, and other fabric products, and are amazed by China’s natural silk fabrics. Some dealers from the United States, catering to high-end clients, are ready to place orders.
“This is the first time CHIC and the show have worked together, and it has been a very good and enjoyable process,” Pitti Immagine Uomo CEO Raffaello Napoleone said. “Pitti Uomo will invest more resources and give maximum support to both business and publicity in the future.”
