Following the Start of Summer, temperatures in Hangzhou are on the rise, making water sports an increasingly popular choice for outdoor activities. Besides paddleboarding, swimming, and sailing, river drifting stands out as an excellent option.
Shuangxi Rafting Tourist Spot
Situated in Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, the Shuangxi Rafting is celebrated as “the best rafting in East China”. It boasts facilities like bamboo rafting, kayak rafting, and the Shuangxi Amusement Park, providing ample outdoor activities. Here, visitors can also camp and barbecue, savoring the fresh outdoor air.
Longjing Gorge Drifting
Located in Lin’an District, the Longjing Gorge Drifting reopened to the public on May 1. It is favored by rafting enthusiasts for its impressive vertical drop of 128 meters across 3 kilometers. Visitors can also engage in water fights and other fun activities in designated areas.
Sandu Cliff Drifting
This Drifting is China’s first cliff-based “glass drifting” experience, often described as a thrilling “water roller coaster”. It offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the canyon. Nearby, an outdoor mountain park is set to open after June, adding more activities.
Prince Valley Drifting
Located at the Qiandao Lake Scenic Area, it allows visitors to hike through the mountains and forests and enjoy the valley’s natural scenery along a 4.5-km drift. It’s conveniently two kilometers from the Danzhu exit on the Hangzhou-Qiandao Lake Highway, perfect for self-driving tours.
Yalu Raft Drifting Resort
This resort in Tonglu County offers a unique blend of majestic scenery and thrilling experiences. Its exhilarating canyon drift covers 8 kilometers, featuring a vertical drop of 198 meters, providing breathtaking water adventures.
