The "micro vacation" model of camping, picnicking and fitness in the city center has become trendy. Last year, Hangzhou was included in the first batch of pilot cities to open the green space sharing. By the end of 2025, the total number of parks in Hangzhou is expected to reach 800, with a public urban green space accessibility of over 90%.
Hangzhou is going to open its first batch of 10 urban parks. Here comes the list.
Donghu Road Citizen Park,

Recommended time to visit: April
The park is the first sponge park in Shangcheng district, which retains the core style of the park and creates the ornamental grass and flowers in the renovation. It also increases the functionality of each space in the park and creates a more comfortable public green space for urban residents.

Recommended time to visit: April and August
The park is a comprehensive park with nature, ecology, sports and leisure as the theme featuring a lake, sports venues and outdoor sports spaces in the park. Crape myrtle flowers in the park can bloom two to three times a year, and the roses' blooming period can last from April to December.

The park boasts a harmonious coexistence of venues, parks, neighborhoods and municipal roads with large and small green spaces throughout the park. The park also features free playgrounds, sand pits, lakeside walkways, running tracks, skateboards, and basketball courts.
Xiangshan Seawall Park, Xihu district
西湖区象山海塘公园

The center of the park sees a 180-meter ancient seawall running north-south and winding through the entire park. The seawall on the north bank of Qiantang River is one of the earliest and largest of its kind in the world.
Jiangyi Park, Binjiang district

The park has set up two lawns of about 7,000 square meters, a five-a-side football field, a gateball court, two riverside fitness squares, a children's sand pool, a plant science park and other functional venues.

It is a comprehensive botanical garden with "scientific content and park appearance", collecting and conserving more than 6,000 species of plants at home and abroad (including varieties), and more than 2,000 pots of various types of bonsai and plants.

There are three idyllic campsites open around the clockin the resort: Yuewang Road Campsite, Meishan Road Campsite, Xiangnong Road campsite, where you can set up tents, camp overnight, play children's football and watch sunset movies to savor diverse outdoor experiences.

Located in the core area of Jinsha Lake, the park, which is mainly divided into lake area, beach area and green viewing area, serves as a cherished weekend retreat where families flock to engage in leisure activities with their little ones.

With Dongwu culture as its central thematic essence, the park artistically unfolds the rich tapestry of the civilization of Fuchun River region.

The park encompasses three distinct zones of verdant open space, totaling 10,000 square meters, which are ideal places for hosting a variety of recreational pursuits such as tent pitching and sports and fitness endeavors.
