The grand unveiling of the 2024 "Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Competition," hosted by the Ramunion Rescue and organized by the Ramunion Rescue Thailand, took place along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok on the morning of Jan 2, 2024.

This spectacular event marked the commencement of the "Ramunion Rescue Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Competition" global series for the year.

Former Thai Deputy Prime Minister Chaturon Chaisang, along with members of the Ramunion Rescue joint meeting delegation and representatives from the Ramunion Rescue Thailand, joined in witnessing the elaborate blessing and dragon dance ceremony.

Chaturon Chaisang participated in the blessing and eye-dotting ceremony. In his subsequent address, he extended his wishes for a prosperous Year of the Dragon to all Ramunion Rescue volunteers, encouraging them to continue their positive contributions to humanity, peace, and charitable endeavors.

Nearly a hundred global representatives from the Ramunion Rescue, including founder He Jun, were in attendance.

The "Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Competition" is a culturally rich event with distinct Chinese features meticulously crafted by the Ramunion Rescue over the years. The competition comprises two captivating elements: the dragon boat race and the refined chant blessing. The dragon boats gracefully navigate the waters, symbolizing the deep-rooted significance of Chinese agricultural civilization. This conveys the harmonious symbolism of "favorable weather for farming, and mutual assistance in the same boat".

Since 2009, aside from successful events in Hangzhou's West Lake, Qiandao Lake, Xianghu Lake, and Xi'an's Yanta Lake, as well as the Peacock River in Xinjiang at the Tianshan Mountains' foothills, the Ramunion Rescue's Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Competition has been impressively staged globally at locations including the Seine River in Paris, the Danube River in Vienna, the Arno River in Florence, the Trinity River in Dallas and the Port of Barcelona.
