On Aug 31, the Hangzhou-based STAR.VISION unveiled a series of panoramic Earth photos titled "Space String", presenting a splendid view of the Earth and a satellite dancing in harmony. These photos were captured using the space computational device "String Edge AI" developed by STAR.VISION while orbiting at an altitude of approximately 500 kilometers.

The process involved various operations such as image fusion, HDR (High Dynamic Range), and target recognition during its orbital mission. As detailed by the STAR.VISION team, these stunning images, while appearing almost surreal, were entirely autonomously captured by the satellite, devoid of any artificial effects added in post-production. Moreover, this unique collection of visuals will be seamlessly incorporated into terrestrial space computing devices like VR devices, providing an even more immersive experience that makes viewers feel as if on the scene.

In publicly available data, low-earth orbit remote sensing satellites can capture images within a range of up to 300 kilometers. However, "String Edge AI" not only presents the Earth landscapes but also simultaneously encompasses imagery of the satellite itself, the Earth, and the surrounding space. This is akin to creating a panoramic map of a specific space zone in outer space, offering engineers greater potential for data interpretation and giving rise to new perspectives and theories, thus opening up boundless possibilities for human knowledge.

Dr. Wang Chunhui, the CTO of STAR.VISION company in Hangzhou's Linping district, once said, "Just as Apple ushered us into the era of mobile computing with smartphones and Amazon introduced us to the age of cloud computing, STAR.VISION's Space String is set to propel us into an era of space computing. The first fruit of this computing era is that people no longer need to spend $50 million to ride a spacecraft; they can now experience a spacewalk right from the comfort of the Earth's surface, immersing themselves in the experience."

"MEANT TO BE STAR.VISION" is the taken as the mission of STAR. VISION, signifying its commitment to a forward-looking perspective. Established in 2021, the company has autonomously developed a range of projects including the WONDER JOURNEY series of satellites, Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellites, and a Space-based IoT system, and so on.

Looking ahead, STAR.VISION has ambitious plans to pioneer the next generation of AI satellite platforms, boasting unparalleled AI capabilities and the capability to support native commercial cloud operating systems with high-speed in-orbit OTA updates.
