I am from Chelyabinsk, Russia. As an exchange student, my academic year in China was my first experience living in this country and a real adventure for me.
I study International Business at Hangzhou Normal University, where my teachers are very professional and always ready to help. My language teacher, Prof. Li has chosen the realm of China's new rural construction and village development as a facet of the Chinese cultural education. Therefore, recently I had a chance to visit Hongcun village, Lin'an district, where I could immerse myself more profoundly in the tapestry of Chinese heritage. The village impressed me a lot with its clean and green environment, which makes it a wonderful place for living and resting. Numerous international students like me in this program can have the opportunity to seamlessly integrate our specialized expertise into the Chinese countryside. For instance, we had an outdoor experimental learning part, where I could participate in children's outdoor activities and took on the role of a foreign teaching assistant, infusing me with fresh perspectives to learn Chinese. We might also undertake endeavors such as e-commerce live streaming, thereby fostering a tangible connection between our professional knowledge and the rural Chinese setting.
