The 19th CICAF kicked off on Jun 20 in Hangzhou

The 19th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival is on in Hangzhou from Jun 20 to 24.
Unlike in the previous years, this year's festival adopts a venue mode of "1+1+N" with the total exhibition and activity area of the main and auxiliary venues exceeding 65,000 square meters and making it the largest ever.
As the time of the animation festival happens to be close to that of Hangzhou Asian Games, the event to be participated by 59 countries and regions online and offline will take the "city of animation, and the city of the Asian Games" as this year's theme. More than 20 projects covering five major sections are planned, namely, exhibitions, forums, transactions, competitions and activities.
An online platform named "CICAF on Cloud" has been launched for the festival. By scanning the QR code and entering the WeChat mini program， you will be able to look up the exhibition information, live broadcasts and stage schedules and online interactions.
This year's event will go on highlighting the "Chinoiserie" with activities such as a grand ceremony of the Chinese national brands and a roadshow of the Chinese animation to further promote the Chinese traditional culture. The China Cartoon & Animation Museum is chosen to be an auxiliary venue of the festival to host a series of exhibitions, contests, forums and animation film panorama on the Chinese works.
