Has it been too long since you are indulged in a breathtaking sunset? As summer draws near, Hangzhou has some perfect places to gaze in awe at the stunning sunsets.
West Lake
Watching the sunset at the West Lake is a truly joyous experience. According to netizens, there are various scenic spots within the West Lake Scenic Area to shoot a perfect sunset, including Jixian Pavilion, Gushan Road, Su Causeway, Long Bridge Park, and Beishan Street.
Among them, Jixian Pavilion is especially popular in the summertime, and photographers are often seen lining up to capture the stunning scene.
Lin'an district
In April, the Chinese actor Leo Wu shared a selfie on his social media that was taken during a sunset at a mountain in Lin'an, making it a must-visit spot for weekend getaways.
Following the light of the dusk, you'll be amazed by the fiery dome of the sky. Other recommended sunset-watching spots in Lin'an are Qingshan Lake, Tianmu Mountain, and Daming Mountain.
Yuhang district
Wangwei Mountain in Huanghu Town, Yuhang district, has become a social media hotspot for influencers to take stunning sunset photos.
You can drive along a zigzag road to the mountaintop, or walk through the Wangwei Mountain ancient path to hike onto the top.
1-hour drive for a seaside sunset
This place has no official name, but is known as "the nearest seaside sunset site from Hangzhou".
Search the "No.1 Bridge CVS(一号桥便利超市)" on navigation Apps, and you will watch the seaside sunset after 1-hour driving.
The site is located at the mouth of the Qiantang River in Dingqiao town, Haining County of Jiaxing. It went viral at the end of 2021 on the social media for owning a large beach, where visitors can go camping, catch crabs, or admire the world's largest tide bore in the middle of the 8th month of China's lunar calendar.
