As the cold winter rainy season comes to an end and the fair spring weather returns, are you ready for a marathon? On Mar 26, four marathons kicked off in Hangzhou with distinctive characteristics.
During the Hangzhou Lin'an Half Marathon, 5,000 runners immersed themselves in the beautiful spring scenery and ran alongside the Tiaoxi River with full enthusiasm. It started at the Lin'an Sports and Culture Center, the venue of play of the taekwondo and wrestling games during the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games. The adorable mascots of Hangzhou Asian Games, along with the world rowing champion Yan Shimin came to cheer on the runners at the launching ceremony.
The 2023 Hangzhou Dream Town Half Marathon kicked off at the Academic Exchange Center of the Future Sci-tech City with nearly 10,000 participants and a record high total bonus up to 285,400 yuan. It was the first time that the 3D immersive technology, VR pathfinder video and VR parent-child run were applied to build the "Dream Marathon Metaverse".
In addition, the 2023 Binjiang "Cherry Blossom Run" launched at the Binjiang Overseas High-level Talent Innovation & Entrepreneurship Base has proved itself once again to be the most romantic marathon in the city. The Hangzhou Qiantang Women's Half Marathon was held for the fifth time participated by 10,000 female runners from across the country.
