The common hatred for a person can be expressed by naming a street food!
Congbaohui is a Hangzhou snack most of the time sold by street standlers. Recently, it gets particularly popular thanks to the movie Man Jiang Hong, or literally Full River Red directed by the well-known director Zhang Yimou.
As a street food, it was created by ancient Hangzhou locals to express their aversion to Qin Hui, a treacherous official who served as the judge executing the national hero Yue Fei for no crime. Congbaohui literally translates as green onions and pancakes wrapped around Qin and his wife in the form of deep-fried dough stick, representing that people will "eat"the bad guys and avenge for Yue.
Flattened with a shovel and brushed with special hoisin sauce, the food made in this way is rather tasty. Have you tried it yet?
